What Does It Mean to Discipline the Heart?
To discipline the heart means to stop following every selfish desire and focus on what Allah loves. The Quran reminds us:
“And we shall surely lead those who wish to follow us in our footsteps”
(Surah Al-Ankabut 29:69)
This verse shows that when we make an effort to do good and improve ourselves for Allah, He helps us and guides us to the right path.
